Joshua Merrill

I am a seasoned OSP telecom drafter with over fifteen years of experience. In that time, I attained a solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology. I became experienced in GIS fiber design and management working on various projects, as well as cooperative skills in group dynamics including managing workflow and individuals. In addition, I implemented innovative new drafting techniques to streamline quality and increase output efficiency. I have experience developing, editing, and debugging various scripts and code expressions to automate repetitive tasks, improve efficiency, and perform complex analytical tasks. I am a senior undergraduate student pursuing a BS in Computer Engineering at the University of Utah. Currently exlporing quantum computation and EM transmissions. Ultimately I am looking to expand my software and hardware skills.

  • Interests

Apart from being a Telecom drafter/programmer, I try to spend most of my time socializing and being outdoors. I love attending music festivals and concerts. In the winter, I try to travel to warmer climates. During the warmer months here in Utah, I enjoy hiking and camping.

I follow a number of sci-fi and fantasy genre movies, television shows. I also enjoy the occosianal documentary, and I spend a large amount of my free time exploring the latest technology advancements in many fields.
